Repairs were necessary due to the improper and/or incomplete weatherproofing and flashing of the house, including faulty installation of the lap siding, improper installation of the secondary moisture barrier (felt paper), improper installation of the stone, improper deck construction, improper waterproofing of foundation, improper window and door installation, improper framing of the house, and improper roof flashing installation. These defects had allowed water to migrate behind the siding and caused extensive dry rot damage to the sheathing and framing. Gores Construction rehabilitated the exterior in a water-tight fashion and restored this magnificent home’s value.
